Advanced High Directional

October 15 @ 8:00 am - October 17 @ 5:00 pm

How are your Artificial High Directional skills? Looking for a something after our Vortex 201 cIass?  In this 3 day workshop we will push the limits of the Arizona Vortex using a ‘3-2-1’ approach. The course starts with a classroom session reviewing rigging theory then we start dropping legs; taking students from traditional tripod set ups down to mono-pod/gin pole setups. This course builds on students existing Vortex knowledge, however it is appropriate for those with minimal experience.

Students will be exposed to modern equipment, shared/twin tension systems and they will be challenged with increasingly complex rescue scenarios. Our goal is to have every student leave confident in their ability to select and safely construct the appropriate frame for their needs.

PPE Required: Eye pro, closed toe shoes suitable for hiking.

Harnesses and Helmets will be provided by Vector Rescue.  Students may use their own gear after subjecting it to approval by Vector Rescue staff.
