August 15 @ 8:00 am - August 17 @ 5:00 pm
How are your Artificial High Directional skills? In this 3 day workshop we will push the limits of the Arizona Vortex using a ‘3-2-1’ approach. The course starts with a classroom session reviewing rigging theory then we start dropping legs; taking students from traditional tripod set ups down to mono-pod/gin pole setups. This course builds on students existing Vortex knowledge, however it is appropriate for those with minimal experience.
Students will be exposed to modern equipment, shared/twin tension systems and they will be challenged with complex rescue scenarios in both the urban and rural environment. Our goal is to have every student leave confident in their ability to select and safely construct the appropriate frame for their needs.
When: August 15th-17th
Where: Hamden, CT
PPE Required: Helmet, Class 2 or 3 rescue harness, eye pro, closed toe shoes suitable for hiking
