Horizontal Movement

February 6 @ 8:00 am - February 7 @ 5:00 pm

Horizontal rope movement is inherently difficult.  This two day program is geared for rope technicians and rescuers who want to develop and challenge their horizontal skills.  Explore different methods for horizontal (and vertical) movement; cross hauls, high lines, skate blocks, dynamic deflections and variations thereof.  While this is a rigging intensive class focused on horizontal systems, there will be ample discussion and application of rigging theory, anchoring, high directionals, edge transitions, incident action plans, and patient care.   The unique training site allows indoor, open span access with ample vertical relief.

While there are no prerequisites, students should come with a strong rope background (ITRA, SPRAT, NFPA Technician).  Vector Rescue will provide all necessary PPE.  Students are welcome to bring their own and subject it to inspection prior to use.
